Warehouse workers
The warehousing industry is among the fastest-growing sectors in the United States and California, and the Inland Empire is an epicenter of this growth. Companies seeking relatively cheap land, labor, and proximity to shipping routes continue to expand in the region. Unfortunately, wages for warehouse workers remain very low and workers have few opportunities for advancement. The lack of remote work potential places the Inland Empire in a precarious position—a high number of job openings in an industry with very routine and low-skill work, offering workers few prospects for advancement.
